Are all the bad reviews so ppl will stay away from this place? I read the reviews before going so I didn’t have high expectations but when we got there on a Saturday evening late January, it was amazing!! Magical even. No long lines. No mud. Perfect conditions. Really friendly staff. It was our first time & they were really helpful in telling us where to go. It was 6 of us going but 2 ended up not showing up so we were worried their wrist bands would go to waste but they allowed us to save them to use another time. I never leave reviews but I just can’t believe all the negative reviews on this place! Watching the little hockey players on the ice was so cool & we went at the perfect time because we got to tube in the daylight & nighttime. We only went for two hours cause we had little ones along but it was perfect. We finished the evening with four cups of their hot chocolate w/ whipped cream & that was SERIOUSLY THE BEST HOT CHOCOLATE IVE EVER HAD!!! Not too chocolatey, not watery, not lukewarm. Last thing, we were surprised but grateful for their leniency when it came to rules. They allowed us to go in groups, on our bellies, spinning, in fact each time we went up, we did something different & they would accommodate us, I even saw a group of 10 going down together. At first all four of us raced in our own lane, next we all went connected together in a line, then we raced 2 on 2, then we went down all four of us connected in a circle, then we went down the ice slide which ski liberty & roundtop do not have, & that was so quick & fun!! At ski liberty & roundtop, the lines are wayyy longer & you have to stand on a conveyor belt to get up the hill whereas here they just hook your tube handle to something that pulls you up while you get to sit & appreciate the gorgeous view. They’d even suggested 2 of us go up the pulley system together so it was faster. We even went down us 4 in a circle while 2 of the attendants spun us since we asked them if they could. The workers would go above & beyond waiting for us, helping, & answering our questions…we will definitely be coming back. I saw someone’s review complaining of the lack of rules & making their toddlers go down in their own tube but personally I don’t think anyone 5 & under should be doing this activity, there’s plenty else that they can do. We appreciated the freedom, please never change

We had a great time! The staff were friendly. The tubing was really a blast. My grandkids and 2 sons had such a good time. The top however was slipery to walk on, but we are on a snow hill so.. I think the ratings at this place are lower than they should be.

My husband and I chose AvalancheXpress for a short getaway. Overall, our experience was very positive. The tubing was an absolute blast and brought lots of laughs and smiles. The restaurant was perfect, and the food and hot cocoa were excellent. Most of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. However, we did have a disappointing experience at the hotel bar on the night we arrived. There were no visible signs stating “No Outside Drinks.” When we sat down, the bartender sternly told my husband to give him his energy drink my husband had purchased earlier. My husband finished the drink and respectfully handed it to him. The bartender became upset and accused him of being disrespectful, stating that my husband “slammed it in his face,” which was not the case. Despite us calmly explaining that there were no signs and that we were unaware of the policy, the bartender said we “started on a bad start” and asked us to leave the bar very disrespectfully! We reported the incident to the front desk afterward, and the front desk staff member was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. She wrote everything down and handled the situation very well, which we truly appreciated. Although we had planned to stay at the hotel bar for the evening, we ended up leaving the hotel to find another place to spend the evening.

The lift was broken the first 40 minutes so the 7 of us including my disabled husband had to walk up the hill to be able to tube, convession stand wasnt open, so had to go to the bar which not impressed with the service from bartender either, anywho was very fun for the tubing. Definitely something fun to do with the kiddos and not to outrageous of prices but 3 hours is plenty of tine to do everything.

Not totally sure why this place gets so much hate. On a cold day, this is a solid outing. The setup: There are about 3 snow tubing lanes (maybe more, hard to tell) and 6 ice slide lanes. There’s also a small ice skating rink, with skates included, which was a nice bonus. There’s a covered picnic area with couches, concessions, and clean bathrooms. There’s also an arcade, though we didn’t check it out. Arrival + logistics: When we arrived, an employee noticed me trying to take a family photo and offered to take it, which was a great first impression. We headed to the line and took the lift once, but after that we just walked up. It takes about the same amount of time either way. The main downside is the lift and corral area. It services all lanes and tubing, so after a while the waiting gets a bit tiresome. They only had one lift running, and they really should open both during busier times. They don’t let people who choose to walk to just go ahead so that’s a bit frustrating. The experience: In about three hours, we went down the hill a ton, ice skated, had lunch, and felt done in a good way. Our group was 2 adults and 3 kids, ages 8–11. This isn’t a ski resort. It’s clearly a hotel attraction. But for what it is, it’s well done. The staff is friendly, there’s enough to do to fill a few hours, the tubing hills are genuinely fun, and the ice slide is fast and exciting. Bottom line: If you go in with the right expectations, it’s a solid winter activity, especially for families

Very nice place to go tubing after a snow fall had a great time! Have food truck, heated restrooms, fires, as well as pavilions with chairs and tables. All works are very polite and helpful! They as well have tubing lift to take you up so you don’t have to walk up the hill!

100 stars so much fun and super easy to access. While it's not required I would recommend buying your tickets ahead of time so it's faster. They have food and beverages available, so bring your wallet/phone. Super nice people. Very funny workers. Definitely coming again next year. ( we went on the last day available so there wasn't as much snow as there would be during peak times or after/ during snow)

Went for a family day, kids had a blast, it wasn't perfect for adults but lowering expectations made this place enough, ice skating, Unlimited tubing, it b was perfect for the kids, they didn't notice small things adults would, like how uncomfortable ice skates are, the staff were very respectful, I read reviews before I went and after going all those negative reviews are just people with overwhelming expectations of grandeur, this place gave me and my family a fun filled time, no pressure to do anything, sure it was a little muddy, but thats what happens when snow starts to melt, the ice skating rink could've used a prime, but this place is dealing with a few thousand people per day. The kids had a blast, and other places give you a few hour window, for the same price. We'll worth the trip...
